Cost/Insurance

The excuses for not seeking addiction treatment are seemingly infinite. Chief among them is, “It costs too much.”

While the cost of treatment serves as a handy deterrent for some people, it is important to remember the many costs of addiction. Among them:

  • the cost of drugs
  • loss of productivity at work
  • possible legal fees for common addiction charges like DUI, destruction of property, and the like
  • medical bills for the physical and mental health issues often associated with addiction

In other words, the cost of drug or alcohol addiction adds up very quickly, so much so that the cost of treatment feels like a drop in the bucket by comparison.

Cost of Treatment

The cost of addiction treatment varies widely by the type of treatment center. Some recovery options, such as programs from non-profit health centers, are entirely free while luxury addiction treatment centers can cost up to six figures per month.

Standard drug treatment centers fall somewhere in the middle, anywhere from $5,000 to $25,000 a month. The cost within this range varies depending on things like location and what services are offered.

Insurance
In many cases, your private health plan or employer-sponsored health plan covers addiction treatment. While there are variables to consider before signing up for treatment—

such as your plan’s specific terms—health insurance covers addiction treatment for the simple reason that the health insurance industry considers addiction to be a disease.

If you or someone you love is addicted to drugs or alcohol, we can help. JourneyPure Louisville is contracted with the following leading health plans:

  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Center Care (Aetna)
  • Cigna
  • Tribal-Care Insurance
  • Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana

JourneyPure also accepts the following plans:

  • Humana
  • Optum
  • TRICARE

JourneyPure believes that the relationships we maintain with the area’s leading health plans speaks to our effectiveness as an addiction treatment company.

Outpatient Treatment and Cost
It should be kept in mind that JourneyPure Paducah is an outpatient treatment center. This means that our patients attend group and individual therapy sessions a few times during the week but will live at home and continue to meet their family and work obligations. This gives them the flexibility to continue to work or tend to family or meet any other obligations that they may have. It’s also far less expensive.

Outpatient treatment is often thought of as “a step down” in treatment level care from inpatient or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) treatment. However, there are times when an individual may begin their treatment process at the IOP level.

IOP intensive outpatient treatment is well-suited for:

– Students

– Parents/Caregivers

– Those who don’t require 24-hour supervision

– Those who have completed long-term rehab and would like an aftercare program.

One Last Thing

JourneyPure can also help you obtain private financing, since we contract with a number of private patient and consumer financing services. We offer sliding scale payment options or financing plans to make the cost more manageable.

Our Admissions counselors will present you with all of your options and work to find the best fit for you, both clinically and financially. Some patients rely on insurance for care and others decide to self-pay as they opt out of allowing insurance to dictate the level of care they receive. Whether or not you choose to use insurance is completely up to you. We are looking forward to discussing options with you and getting you on the road to recovery. Reach out today!
